Individual / 50 minute session : $180    80 minute session : $240

Couples, or Family Therapy / 50 minute sessions : $200    80 minute session : $300

A longer session may be more appropriate for a couple being that there are the intricacies involved in considering multiple people, rather than solely the individual. Additionally, this may be more advantageous when one partner is not available to regularly attend sessions.

There are currently a limited number of availabilities for appointments based on a sliding-scale fee schedule based on need.

Paying out of pocket for therapy rather than using insurance benefits can be advantageous for several reasons:

  1. In order to bill insurance, I must give you a mental health diagnosis after the first session. If your symptoms do not fit the severity of a mental health diagnosis, I must provide this anyway.
  2. Insurance determines the length of each session, the frequency at which we may meet, and the total number of sessions you are allowed. It is my belief that each person is unique and requires a tailored treatment plan; many insurance companies complicate this  by establishing specifically assigning approaches and methodologies that will be covered.
  3. Many insurance plans only allow face-to-face sessions. I often provide teletherapy via phone or video conferencing when clients are unable to come into my office for any reason. Stressors or crises do not always happen on a preset timetable and having the flexibility to schedule sessions when, how often, and from where you want is important.

Out of network provider

If you have a PPO insurance plan, you may receive reimbursement for my services depending on your out-of-network provider benefits. Please note that HMO plans do not qualify for out-of-network benefits. Upon payment after each session, I can provide you with a bill which you can submit to your insurance provider for reimbursement. Because coverage will vary based on your plan, I recommend you call your insurance provider and ask the following questions prior to your first appointment.
  • Do I have mental/behavioral health insurance benefits?
  • What are my out-of-network provider benefits for mental/behavioral health services?
  • What is my deductible and has it been met?
  • How many sessions per year does my health insurance cover?
  • What is the coverage amount per therapy session?
  • Is approval or pre-authorization required?

Cancellations and missed sessions will be charged at my full rate of $180 per 50-minute session and $240 per 80-minute session if NOT RECEIVED AT LEAST 24 HOURS IN ADVANCE. This is necessary because a time commitment is made to you and is held exclusively for you. This is not a fee that is covered by insurance.

Yes. I provide video therapy through a secure video conferencing platform in which I can bring my office to you. Video therapy can be beneficial for those who cannot find a therapist in their area with my specialities or for those who prefer to chat with me in the comfort of their home or office.

The easiest and most efficient way to schedule an appointment is to follow the link at the top of the page for the client portal, where you will be able to establish yourself as a client, and schedule from there.
